  4. Smith Haven Mall will welcome new restaurants to its food court and amenities. Mito Asian Fusion and KPOT Korean BBQ are set to open their locations on Lake Groove soon.   • Suffolk Police had a unique rescue mission this week. Officers rescued a dog from frigid Lake Ronkonkoma on Sunday morning! Nobody knows how the puppy ended up in the water, but he was rescued safely and no injuries were reported. (News 12 Long Island)
  • "Two men used stolen credit cards to purchase over $500 worth of items at Walmart in Centereach last September, Suffolk police said Tuesday." (Patch)
